Facts as we know them:

  • 1753 (Jan, Feb or March) born in Foulden, Norfolk
  • 1780 or before Edmund married - in Foulden - to whom we currently don't know
  • 1781 daughter Ann born
  • 1786 son Edward born
  • 1805 daughter Ann moves away to marry George Hunt (I) and to live in Upwell - some 17 miles away as the crow flies, but about 22 miles by water
  • 1841 Edmund is living in The Chequers, an ale house, Foulden, aged 88, and described as a pauper. His son Edward, an agricultural labourer, is still living in Foulden.
  • He died before the 1851 census at an age between 88 and 98
